The Wildcats will play against Hooker in baseball today. There will be 3 games: Jr. High, Varsity, and Junior Varsity. Games start at 3:30 in Keyes.
Also in Keyes, there will be a Varsity and JV baseball game against Booker on Saturday April 8 at noon.

1st grade has been learning about percussion instruments this week, and today we explored the piano and they were able to see that it is in fact a hammered percussion instrument. We observed how the mechanisms worked to move the individual pieces inside the piano to make sound.

Miss Madison spends the majority of her day in music, but she is always willing to step in and help wherever she is needed. Miss Madison is great at organization and helping teachers get projects finished. Our teachers and students are lucky to have her on our team. We appreciate you, Miss Madison!!

New Timpani heads were put on our Ludwig timpani today. From what I was told by our Tarpley rep, chances are the older heads were original to the drum since Ludwig didn't make timpani heads anymore. I'm excited to get these tuned up tomorrow!
Thanks to the OPSRC CEF Grant Program we were able to purchase quality recorders for use with our 3rd and 4th grade students, as well as Alto, Tenor, Bass, and Sopranino recorders to help curate a recorder program up into the older grades in the future.
