Prom

The Boise City Board of Education approved the following Prom Attire Guidelines for the 2023 Boise City Prom:

PROM ATTIRE GUIDELINES:

A.  Strapless and spaghetti straps are allowed

B. No 2-piece dresses

C. No excessive cleavage (Front or sides)

D.  If the garment inappropriately expresses the body, it is not appropriate attire for school (i.e. midriff tops)

E.  No undergarments are to be worn as ordinary clothing.  No type of loungewear (i.e. pajamas) will be allowed

F.  Dresses must cover the body in an appropriate manner and be no shorter than the fingertips when the student is standing straight with his/her arms at his/her sides (including slits)

G.  Pant and skirts must be worn at the natural waist

H.  Lowest point of open back dresses must be no lower than the natural waist line

I.  Skirt length should be no shorter than the fingertips when the student is standing straight with his/her arms at his/her sides (including slits)

J.  Any clothes that are tight fitting or see-through would not be appropriate attire

K.  Situations and circumstances that are not addressed in the Student Dress and Grooming Code OR Prom Attire Guidelines may be handled by the Principal or the Principal's designee on a case by case basis

If your attire is not approved, you will not be able to attend the banquet or prom.  It is strongly advised that you have your proposed clothing approved in advance by the appropriated school personnel.  For any questions and for preapprovals, please contact the High School Principal's office at 580-544-3111.
