There is a piece of legislation that I understand is currently on the desk of Governor Stitt for approval or veto that could greatly affect the finances of the Boise City Schools as well as the rest of Cimarron County.  The bill is HB 2805 and it would remove ad valorem taxation on livestock in the county.  The result to Boise City Schools would be a revenue reduction of more than $400,000.00 a year.  I would encourage you to reach out to the office of the Governor as soon as possible to ask him to veto that bill.  The number to the Governor's office is 405-521-2342.  Press 0 to speak to a staffer and tell the Governor how this law would affect us.  Thank you for your help!
